We offer a variety of online and offline Quran classes suitable for learners at all levels. Our mission is to spread the love of the Quran in every home. Beelievers Academy is founded by Ustaz Muhammad Ilyas Al-Hafiz & Muhammad Jumari.
About Our Director of Education, Ustaz Muhammad Ilyas Al-Hafiz
Ustaz Muhammad Ilyas Al-Hafiz Bin Mohamad Asraff is a passionate educator with deep expertise in Quranic sciences. Holding a Degree in Islamic Sciences & Arabic Literature from the Institute of Islamic Education, UK, they are also certified in 10 Qiraat (Ten Recitations of the Quran) and have earned a Certificate in the Memorisation of the Holy Quran.
With over a decade of experience teaching Quranic reading and Tajweed in various Islamic centres and mosques across Singapore, his approach is deeply rooted in the principles of compassion, sincerity, patience, and prayer—values instilled by their own teachers. He firmly believes that no one is beyond hope, regardless of their struggles or past disinterest. With Beelievers Academy, he aims to nurture students who love and connect with the Quran even more deeply than he does, becoming better reciters, seekers of knowledge, and believers in every possible way.

Ustaz Muhammad Yusuf Al-Hafiz Bin Mohamad Asraff
Muhammad Yusuf Bin Mohamad Asraff graduated from Institute of Islamic Education, UK where he studied Tahfiz, and Islamic sciences like Nahw, Sarf, Tajwid, 10 Qira'at, Hadith. He continued his learning afterwards in Ulumul Qur'an, Ulumul Hadith, Tajwid, and Islamic History.
With an ARS Tier 1 certification, he has experience teaching Quran reading, Tahfiz, and Iqra'. His teaching goal is to ensure that students can read the Quran without major mistakes and understand what they are learning. He finds joy in students who come prepared and ready to learn.
Ustaz Habeeb Mohamed s/o Mohamed Rasheed
Habeeb Mohamed s/o Mohamed Rasheed holds a Diploma in Cybersecurity, a Diploma in Islamic Law, and has completed his Hifz of the Quran. ARS Tier 2 certified (Quran Teacher). He has been teaching Quran recitation and memorisation at Masjid Bencoolen since 2021. His teaching philosophy is guided by the principles of seeking knowledge (ilm) as a form of worship and a means to draw closer to Allah ﷻ. As mentioned in the hadith, "Seeking knowledge is an obligation upon every Muslim" (Sunan Ibn Majah, Hadith 224). He believes that education should not only impart knowledge but also nurture the character (akhlaq) of students — helping them become well-rounded individuals conscious of their responsibilities towards Allah, themselves, and society.
Ustaz Mohamed Shuaib Al-Hafiz s/o Mohamed Rasheed
Mohamed Shuaib s/o Mohamed Rasheed is currently pursuing a Diploma in Cybersecurity. He occasionally teaches at Madrasah Masjid Bencoolen and focuses on Quran memorisation. His teaching philosophy is to help students gain as much knowledge as possible from the Quran, with the hope that it becomes a form of sadaqah jariyah (ongoing charity) for him. Inspired by the verse “Indeed, with hardship comes ease” (Qur'an 94:6), his own journey with Quran reading was once a struggle, and he now aims to support others through similar challenges with patience and perseverance.
Ustazah Norida Binte Osman
Norida Binte Osman holds GCE A Levels, ECCE Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Educators as a certified Kindergarten Teacher, and a STAQ certification from Masjid Kampung Siglap. An ARS Tier 2 certified (Quran Teacher), she has taught Kindergarten and Kids aLIVE at Darul Ghufran Mosque, at Andalus, and at Home-Based Learning settings. Her teaching philosophy is rooted in the aspiration to be among the best of the ummah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, guiding others through knowledge and care.
Ustazah Juraidah Bte Sukaimi
Juraidah Bte Sukaimi holds A’ Level qualifications. ARS Tier 2 certified (Quran Teacher). She brings experience from early childhood education, the MOE CCM and FLAiR programmes, and MUIS aLIVE. A people-oriented educator, she is passionate about making Quran learning accessible and spiritually meaningful. Her teaching philosophy is rooted in the Quran and Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, with a personal love for sharing the words of Allah ﷻ. She continues to refine her teaching methods and finds joy in witnessing how Quran reading brings tranquillity and guidance into students’ lives.
Ustazah Nurul Syuhaidah Binte Masrun
Nurul Syuhaidah Binte Masrun holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Islamic Jurisprudence from the University of Jordan. She has an ARS Tier 1 certified (Graduated PCICS, March 2024). She has been an aLIVE asatizah since 2018, and has served as Programme Coordinator at Cavenur (2022–2023). Her teaching philosophy is to nurture confident and compassionate learners rooted in Islamic values.
Ustazah Raihanah Bee Bte Abdul Hamid
Raihanah Bee Bte Abdul Hamid holds a Degree in Syariah from Al Azhar University. ARS Tier 1 certified. With over 15 years in teaching and dakwah, she serves as an ADIL Murabbi and teaches part-time at other centres. Her teaching philosophy is to continuously guide with sincerity, aiming to cultivate taqwa and understanding in every student.
Ustazah Nasreen Binte Habib Mohammed
Nasreen Binte Habib Mohammed is a graduate of Madrasah Wak Tanjong (Thanawi 4) and holds a Specialised Diploma for Quran Teachers from Darul Quran. ARS Tier 1 certified. She has over 23 years of experience teaching basic Quran to students of all ages in the mosque setting and is especially passionate about teaching children. Her teaching philosophy centres on inspiring students to see the Quran not just as recitation, but as a lifelong source of wisdom, protection, and guidance — in this life and the Hereafter.
Ustazah Maizatul 'Iffah Binte Muhammad Hazri
Maizatul 'Iffah Binte Muhammad Hazri holds a Thanawi ‘Aaliyah certificate from Madrasah Aljunied. ARS Tier 1 certified. She currently serves as a part-time Asatizah in the aLIVE programme. She believes that every student is unique and on their own journey, and sees her role as a teacher as one who supports growth, understanding, and confidence. Her most meaningful moments come when students feel safe enough to express their struggles and seek help in their Quran learning.
Ustazah Masayu Badariah Binte Masagoes Hassan
Masayu Badariah Binte Masagoes Hassan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Islamic Jurisprudence from Al-Azhar University, Egypt. ARS Tier 1 certified. She has over 10 years of experience teaching at Madrasah and aLIVE classes, where she also served in leadership roles such as Programme Head and Penolong Guru Kanan. Her work includes curriculum planning, lesson delivery, event coordination, and educational trip management. Her teaching philosophy centres on nurturing both the mind and character of her students, with the goal of raising practising Muslims grounded in humility, adab, and the values of the Quran and Sunnah.
Ustazah Rapiah Abdul Majid
Rapiah Abdul Majid studied in government schools all the way to university and has many years of experience as a Mathematics teacher. She loves helping students really understand and use what they’ve learnt.
Rapiah is starting to teach the Quran and is excited to grow in this area. She finds it very meaningful when students can understand the Quran and apply it in real life. She often reflects on how amazing the Quran is — especially verses like 2:34 and 33:56, which show how different words are used for different prophets. These details remind her of the miracle of the Quran, especially since our Prophet ﷺ could not read or write.
She believes in always learning more, especially about the Quran and its language, and hopes to inspire her students to do the same.
Ustaz Muhammad Hazman Bin Salleh
Ustaz Muhammad Hazman holds academic qualifications from Ngee Ann Polytechnic, SIM (now known as SUSS), and NAFA. He also has a Diploma in Islamic Studies from Al-Zuhri Institute of Higher Learning and is certified as an ARS Tier 2 Quran Teacher.
He has been granted Ijazah Sanad—a formal authorisation to teach—by esteemed scholars in Cairo, Egypt, in the following areas:
- Riwayat Hafs ‘An ‘Asim (Tariq Ash-Shatibiyyah) — (2023) with Sheikh Amru
- Qira’at ‘Asim (Tariq Ash-Shatibiyyah) — (2025) with Sheikh Dr. Ziad
- 40 Hadith of Imam An-Nawawi — (2023) with Sheikh Ahmad Ali
Ustaz Hazman teaches Tahsin (improving Quranic recitation), Basic Tajwid (rules of Quranic pronunciation), and one-to-one Talaqqi sessions (guided recitation with correction).
His mission is to support adults who haven’t yet learned to read the Quran—helping them become confident and independent readers, step by step. He’s also very skilled at teaching children, making him a well-rounded and approachable teacher for learners of all ages.
Ustaz Muhammad Ubaidah Bin Rahim
Muhammad Ubaidah Bin Rahim studied at Ribat Tarim in Hadramaut, Yemen, where he specialised in Shafi’i jurisprudence and Arabic sciences. He also completed his tahfiz education at Sekolah Ugama Radin Mas and Madrasah Khadimuddin. ARS Tier 2 certified (Quran Teacher). He has taught tahfiz in Malaysia and Quran both online and in-person for over two years. His teaching philosophy is to spread the deen of Allah ﷻ and continue the legacy of his teachers. He aims to bring the ummah together through shared practice of sacred knowledge.
Ustaz Mohamad Isak Bin Juma’at
Mohamad Isak Bin Juma’at holds a Diploma in Al-Quran and Sunnah. ARS Tier 2 certified (Quran Teacher). He conducts one-to-one Iqra’ lessons from home and specialises in guiding students toward fluency in recitation. His teaching philosophy is that teaching motivates him to keep seeking knowledge. His goal is for every student to develop proper makhraj and recite the Quran fluently.
